Wartime romance commemorates 70th anniversary of WW2’s end
An epic wartime romance by Terence Rattigan is coming to the Cambridge Arts Theatre this month to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.
Flare Path, based on Rattigan’s own experiences as a tail gunner in World War Two, paints an evocative picture of life in wartime Britain. Set in 1942, it tells the touching stories of the RAF bomber crews and their wives and sweethearts, who were left awaiting their return.
The revival of the 1941 wartime drama will show at the theatre from September 28 to October 3.
