A raucous American ensemble is coming to showcase its unconventional brand of brass band music at the Junction, in Cambridge, on August 23.

The Young Blood Brass Band, a ten piece ensemble with its roots in Wisconsin, flouts convention in an ecstatic and incendiary fashion, taking the form of a New Orleans brass band and morphing it into a punk-influenced hip-hop behemoth of groove and purpose.

The group has been unleashing its crash course in genre-bending on stages worldwide since 2000.
