It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Students from Thurston Community College are well under way with rehearsals of their production of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins.

Performances began on Wednesday evening at the college and took place until Saturday.

Rebecca Harper, head of performing arts, said: This year, once again, we are continuing the tradition of a whole college production, so although it may be the ‘junior’ version of the musical being performed, the cast is in no way junior.

“This year was our biggest audition yet, 400 students took audition packs over the summer holidays, with well over 200 students auditioning for a place in the cast in September.”

The college has also extended the stage to fit on as many of the talented actors as possible.

Rebecca added: “The whole cast have been an absolute pleasure to work with and it is evident that they have enjoyed the production as much as the performing arts team have.”
