Shakespeare fable of love and jealousy

A classic Shakespearean tale of love, jealousy and redemption is coming to the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds next week.

The Winter’s Tale, a rich and romantic fable will be showing from October 6 to 10.

King Leontes falsely accuses his queen of infidelity with his closest friend and proclaims their newborn daughter illegitimate, condemning her to death, but the child, Perdita, survives.

A beguiling love story follows in which the cold grasp of winter gives way to the warmth and vibrancy of spring, culminating in love and forgiveness.
