REVIEW: Irish trio The Script open Thetford Forest Live events
Forest Commission's Forest Live concert series hosted The Script last night at Thetford Forest.
The opener of a four day event held in the forest, The Script, no strangers to Thetford did not disappoint with their their fun-loving, Irish character.
Playing fan favourites 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', 'For The First Time' and finishing with an encore of 'Hall of Fame', the atmosphere at the venue did not drop during the full one and a half hour set.
Supported by up and coming singer, songwriter Tom Walker, who warmed the crowd up by performing hit 'Leave a Light On' and other tunes which were a mix of hip hop, blues and reggae.
With all proceeds from the concert going back into the forest, as explained by Danny O'Donoghue on stage, the vibrant venue was not left unappreciated.
As the sun set, fancy strobe lighting, banners and flyers cascaded from The Script's set while O'Donoghue really involved the audience by playing the first key of 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved' and being returned with an acapella from the crowd, encouraging dancing and jumping into the thousand strong fans himself.
With his promises of The Script returning to Thetford, the 16 song set concluded with the audience thoroughly thrilled.
