REVIEW: The Lady Vanishes at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds
Laced with intrigue, suspense and edge of your seat thrills, The Lady Vanishes is a gripping production that will keep audiences guessing.
Making its annual return to Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, The Classic Thriller Theatre Company offers a pacy adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's classic film.
The mystery centres on socialite Iris, who befriends the enigmatic Miss Froy on a train journey across continental Europe during the rise of Nazism.
When Miss Froy disappears, Iris is perplexed as many passengers deny ever having seen her travelling companion.
With the help of musician Max, she turns sleuth to find her missing friend.
The pair unpick a tangled web of secrets as their train rattles towards a heart-thumping finale and, for some, a fatal action-packed destination.
With a talented cast, impressive sets and costumes which perfectly capture the rising storm of the period, The Lady Vanishes is a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable night at the theatre.
It runs until Saturday, September 21.
