Review: [Insert Laughter Here], Unitarian Meeting House, Bury St Edmunds, August 16
Very much in the style of ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’, this improvised comedy group was certainly on a roll tonight.
As the audience has such input with often weird or outrageous subject suggestions, it’s left to the dynamic producer, director and host Aaron Weight to try to maintain a semblance of order.
Of course, underneath the hilarity and quick thinking there’s probably chaos in abundance.
There are numerous games testing the cast, including asking questions and replying in question form with the next letter of the alphabet. A clear favourite is the 'what not to say in certain situations'.
Although watching and being entertained you may try to fathom out your strategies (aka answers) as well as the cast. And it’s not easy, although two members of the audience took up the invitation test and did proudly.
This group was only formed in February and after the first show in July it is back with the sheer enthusiasm which was on display tonight from cast and audience alike.
