Following a sold-out run at London’s Almeida Theatre and an acclaimed West End season, Mike Bartlett’s award-winning new play King Charles III is coming to Cambridge Arts Theatre.

The Queen has died, and after a lifetime of waiting a prince ascends the throne. A future of power lies before him, but how will he rule?

Directed by Rupert Goold, the play explores the people under the crowns and the unwritten rules of our democracy.

Robert Powell, perhaps best known as Holby City’s Mark Williams, stars in the lead role.
