Witty wordplay and extraordinary odes will be on show at Diss Corn Hall next Friday for the latest installment of the Stand-up Poetry Club.
Special guest, Caroline Bird, will be showcasing her performance skills, following a year in which she has been hailed as one of the major poets of her generation.
Despite only being in her mid-twenties, Caroline’s inventive and funny poems have captured the public’s imagination, with her work inscribed at the Olympic Park last year.
Hosted by Luke Wright, Latitude’s poetry programmer and resident Radio 4 poet, the Stand-up Poetry Club has become a mainstay in South Norfolk cultural calendar.
The show starts at 8pm, with a running time of two hours including interval.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for students, available from www.disscornhall.co.uk or from the box office on 01379 652241.
