Mystery and murderous motives in TV drama writer’s West End hit
An intriguing drama is coming to the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds from March 2 to 7.
Intense thriller The Business of Murder, directed by Michael Lunney, has enjoyed a successful nine-year run in the West End.
Creator Richard Harris has a string of drama productions to his name including A Touch of Frost, The Sweeney and The Avengers.
Stone, a humourless and dour man, invites television playwright Dee over to his flat on the premise of discussing a script.
However, Dee is surprised when Superintendent Hallett, the man with whom she is having an affair, also arrives for an entirely different reason.
Nothing is as it seems, and their host’s motive gradually becomes clear.
The production stars Robert Gwilym, of Casualty, fame, Paul Opacic of Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, and Shameless’ Joanna Higson.
