Kids clubs give a taste of history

Families can get their fix of history at a Stowmarket museum this summer with a new programme of activities.

The Museum of East Anglian Life has launched its ARTefacts Re-enactments Summer Holiday Clubs with by Black Knight Historical re-enactors and intended for children aged seven and over.

Medieval week will run from August 17 to 21, where children will be able to explore what life was like and have a go at Medieval art techniques.

From August 24 to 28 will be Georgian week, finding out from real re-enactors what the Georgians did, what they wore and more as well as working towards the Explore Arts Award.

Each ARTefacts club is £99 per child for five full days of activities, running from 10am to 4pm every day. There are limited spaces available so advance booking is advised.

Alongside these sessions the museum’s Mud, Bugs and Baking classes are returning.
