Some of Suffolk’s footballing legends are returning the the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds this month share stories with their fans.
The Ipswich Town Football Club players will be at the theatre on September 13, telling anecdotes about the club and their careers.
Footballing heroes Bryan Hamilton, Simon Milton and Allan Hunter, who shared their stories with a sell-out crowd at the Theatre Royal in 2014, are joined this time around by Russell Osman and Terry Butcher.
Terry’s place was etched in footballing folklore with his blood-covered performance in a World Cup qualifier in 1989.
He has recently taken over as manager of Newport County and has appointed Russell Osman as his assistant at the League 2 Club.
The evening, spent in the company of some of Ipswich Town’s best known players, promises to be packed with entertainment and talk about all things football.
With collective memories spanning the years of the club’s late 20th century history, the evening forms part of the first ever Bury St Edmunds Festival of Sport.
Limited places are also available to meet the players for a drink after the show (£15).
Tickets for the event are priced £8.50 to £28. To book, contact the theatre box office on 01284 769505 or go to www.theatreroyal.org.
