Faustus takes to the stage

Have your say

Previously nominated for the Best Group Award in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and in the wake of the latest album, Broken Down Gentlemen (Navigator Records, 2013), Faustus brings to the stage three of the leading lights of their generation.

The trio comprises Saul Rose, formerly of Waterson, Carthy, Whapweazel and War Horse; Benji Kirkpatrick seen in Seth Lakeman Band and Bellowhead and Paul Sartin, also from Bellowhead, and Belshazzar’s Feast.

They have a wealth of experience between them, brought together here in a virtuosic display of musicianship and testosterone.

Rooted deeply in the English tradition, in 2007 they received a 75th Anniversary Award from the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

Faustus are at the Diss Corn Hall on Saturday February 22 at 8pm, with tickets £12 or £10 for concessions.
