Bury St Edmunds indie-alternative band Fortunato have released a four track EP - Under Your Teeth.

The band, made up of singer/rhythm guitarist Kim Jarvis, keyboard player and guitarist Barny Cutter, lead guitarist Joe Gardner, bass player Catherine Neilson and drummer Robin Francis, got together in 2012 after meeting on a West Suffolk College music production course.

In May the band released their third EP at the Hunter Club in Bury.

Kim said it is their most accomplished EP to date. “We have had a few EPs out before but I think the songwriting and power of the band is stronger on this EP.

“It has been really well received, we have got a lot of great feedback about it.”

The band recorded the live launch of the EP and are now looking for promotors take them on.

As well as working on a new single, the band have been booked to headline the launch party of BurySound 2016 on September 19 later this year at the Hunter Club.

Kim said the band’s name was inspired from a book he had read when he first joined the band.

He said: “The name was in a story about a man in Italy who has really good luck.

“We had also won an award, the NMG Award for best band, which was a month after I had joined which I thought was quite lucky .

“I thought ‘actually we do get a lot of luck’ and the name stuck.”
