A female vocalist voted as one of the UK’s finest last year is bringing her blues and soul sound to Bury St Edmunds.

Jo Harman, voted 2014 Female Vocalist of the Year at the British Blues Awards, will take to the stage with her incredible band, led by celebrated guitaristMike Davis.

The singer-songwriter has enjoyed slots at the prestigious Cheltenham and Edinburgh Jazz Festivals and performed alongside music veterans Robert Plant and Van Morrison at BluesFest at the Royal Albert Hall for Live Nation.

Her debut album, Dirt On My Tongue, was released in 2013 to international critical acclaim.

Last summer she released a second album, Jo Harman and Company - Live at the Royal Albert Hall, and she and her band received four nominations for 2014’s British Blues Awards including best singer and songwriter.

She has also recently received a grant to take her celebrated sound to America - the home of soul music.

Guitarist/singer/keyboardist Mike Davis performs his own music under the name Mi’Das and has supported major artists such as Jessie J, Rizzle Kicks and Jamie Cullum.

Described by The Blues Magazine as music which ‘mainlines the human soul’,, o Harman’s concert is one for blues fans not to miss.
