Opening round FA Trophy ties are announced

The FA has today revealed the ties for the first two rounds of the 2018/19 Buildbase FA Trophy.

Both Bury Town and AFC Sudbury enter the competition in the Extra Preliminary Round, and both have been handed home ties.

Bury will play host to Horsham, while Egham Town will be Sudbury's visitors on Saturday, September 29.

As for Mildenhall Town and Soham Town Rangers, they come in at the Preliminary Round stage on October 13.

Dean Greygoose's Mildenhall head to Aylesbury United, with Soham welcoming AFC Mansfield to Julius Martin Lane.

Were Bury to win against Horsham, they will host Ware, with Sudbury heading for Greenwich Borough if they can get the better of Egham.

Needham Market, meanwhile, do not enter the tournament until a later date due to their Step 3 status.
