Josh Webster has announced he will defend his Porsche Carrera Cup GB crown in 2015.

The 20-year-old driver from Mickfield, near Stowmarket, took the championship by storm last year as he clinched the title in his debut season in sports cars.

A former karting and single-seater racer, Webster took to his new role spectacularly well as part of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), which is watched by tens of thousands of fans and screened live on ITV4.

Webster — who teamed up with multiple Formula One race winner Mark Webster as part of Porsche’s Get Race Fit Weekend on Saturday— pipped double reigning champion Michael Meadows by nine points in 2014, but has switched to Team Parker Racing from Redline Racing for this year’s championship.
