VOLLEY GOOD: Action from the Go Spike Big Volleyball weekend in Bury St Edmunds

The wet weather failed to dampen spirits on Sunday when Volleyball England visited Tollgate Rec in Bury St Edmunds and The Rec, in Stowmarket, as part of their Go Spike Big Weekend.

A hardcore group of regulars enjoyed slipping and sliding around the damp courts while enjoying some good rallies.

The events aimed to get as many people as possible to join in and find out why volleyball is one of the top three most-played sports in the world.

Clubs throughout the county continue to offer free volleyball throughout the summer. For more information visit suffolkvolleyball.org.uk.

The next big event on the county calendar is the Suffolk Open, which will be held on Stowmarket’s Chilton Fields on Sunday, June 7.
