Bury Town endured a wasted trip to Leatherhead on Saturday after having their scheduled encounter postponed after their arrival.

The Blues were looking to bounce back from successive defeats but were denied the opportunity with the referee taking a late decision to call off proceedings due to a waterlogged pitch.

There was also disappointment for Needham Market in Ryman League Division One North as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Maldon and Tiptree.

The result leaves the Marketmen winless in two matches following a 3-1 defeat to Dereham Town and leaves Mark Morsley’s men two points adrift of leaders Harlow Town.

In the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, Mildenhall Town secured their first win in five matches with a convicincing 3-0 success over Walshjam-le-Willows, while Thetford Town slipped to a fourth defeat, going down 5-2 to Stanway Rovers

In the First Division, Team Buryy slumped to a third consecutive defeat, losing 3-1 to Dereham Town Reserves, while Needham Market Reserves settled for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Saffron Walden Town Reserves.
