VIDEO: Bury’s destiny in their own hands despite defeat

Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club head coach Gavin Hogg has urged his side to remain positive in their pursuit of promotion despite an agonising 28-27 defeat away at their nearest rivals Barnes.

A large travelling contingent made the trip to London in the hope of seeing their side seal the championship with a win but despite leading 27-21 with just five minutes remaining it was not to be as the hosts struck in the final minute with a converted try to break Bury hearts and keep their own title ambitions alive.

However, Bury, who still top National League Three London and South East by three points, can fulfil their championship aspirations with victory at home against Gravesend on Saturday in the season finale decider.
