Mildenhall Fen Tigers promoter Kevin Jolly believes staging the British Under-21 semi-final at the club will help raise its profile.

In an announcement made by the British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) on Thursday, it was revealed the National League club would host the event at Mildenhall Stadium in West Row on Sunday, April 5.

The competition proved to be a lucky one for the club last year with Josh Bates, then a member of the team, triumphing in the final of the event at Monmore Green in April.

“It is brilliant that we have been asked to hold the meeting,” said Jolly. “It gives another image of the club, which raises its profile.”

While the line-up for the event is yet to be finalised, Fen Tigers Connor Coles, Jack Kingston and Connor Mountain are all set to be involved.
