The attacking midfielder will arrive at Greens Meadow on the back of a stellar campaign for fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Thetford Town.

Melanson – a former Yeovil Town trainee – scored 28 goals in 50 appearances for the Brecklanders, one of which came during the League Challenge Cup final defeat at the hands of Brantham Athletic.

Speaking to Stow's Twitter page, manager Rick Andrews said of his latest signing: "I'm very pleased to secure the services of Max next season.

"I see him very much as a long term signing. He had an outstanding season at Thetford last year.

"He has great quality on the ball, scores goals and is a winner.

"I look forward to working with him and I'm sure our supporters are going to love him."

In 2016/17, Melanson joined Mildenhall Town midway through the season and helped them to win the Premier Division title before returning to Thetford last summer.
