Stowmarket Town have revealed Wroxham winger Robbie Sweeney as their fifth new summer signing.

The 21-year-old, who was formerly on the books at Norwich City and Stevenage, scored eight goals in 42 appearances for Wroxham last season.

Sweeney is the fifth new arrival at Greens Meadow this summer, following on from the signings of Tom Matthews (Wroxham), Max Melanson (Thetford Town), Sam Nunn (Needham Market) and Scott Chaplin (Felixstowe & Walton United).

Stow boss Rick Andrews said: "I'm really pleased to have Robbie on board with us next season.

"He tore us apart when he played us in the game at Wroxham last season and from that moment I wanted to bring him to the club and work with him."

Andrews' men are due to begin their pre-season campaign with a trip to Romford this Saturday (2.30pm).

Elsewhere, Lakenheath have announced the signing of Ryan Sanders from higher league Thetford Town.

Sanders will captain the newly-promoted Thurlow Nunn league First Division North Side, who have already brought in attacking duo Matt Hayden and Ryan Weaver.

The defender scored six goals in 77 appearances while at Thetford, having previously been at Lakenheath where he made his debut as an 18-year-old and scored twice in 77 games.
