Thetford Ladies 1 Watton II 3

Getting into their stride for the season, the home town made a great comeback in the second half to dominate play, although this was not reflected in the final scoreline.

The first half left Thetford Ladies too much to do to for a win or draw before replying with a goal in the second half, which was well deserved.

Pippa Russell got the prize for most effort, running from all across the pitch to make her presence felt.

Ella Stenton, Leanne Smith and Megan Fox put in some particularly good passing connections to work the ball up the pitch.

Karen Hodgkinson and Kathy Hammond put their hearts into the match, making some impressive attacking runs, while Hodgkinson put some great balls into the D.

It was Sarah Nichol who found her mark, receiving the ball, and firing it into the D so Paula Scott could put the finishing touch on it to score.

Player-of-the-match was Pippa Russell.

New players are welcome to join the club.

Training sessions take place between 7 and 8.30pm, every Wednesday, at Breckland Leisure Centre.
