Player and administrator Peter Fordham is leaving Bury St Edmunds after contributing to the sport for more than 30 years.

A farewell lunch for stalwart Fordham was recently held at Thurston Grange when tributes were paid by representatives from East Region, Suffolk County, Bury St Edmunds Table Tennis League and Bury St Edmunds Table Tennis Club, who Fordham served.

Fordham was also a qualified table tennis coach and was involved in coaching sessions across many schools in the area.
