Super Cup joy for Moreton Hall

Moreton Hall Squash Club’s decision to put a second team into the Suffolk Squash League has paid dividends after they clinched the Suffolk Super Cup, beating Suffolk champions, Ipswich Sports Club.

Captained by Chris Lockwood and James Bird, the club got off to a flying start in the final as Gus Beercroft overcame Dan Wheeler in a hard-fought 3-2 success while Lockwood proved too strong for Tom Richardson as he eased to a 3-1 win.

That momentum continued with Moreton Hall as Ali Dawson cruised to another victory, overcoming John Arnold 3-1.

Owain Taylor wrapped up the title by securing a hard-fought 3-2 win over the experienced Chris Wheat.
