Students return with a medal haul

Students from the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do at Bury St Edmunds and Thetford took part in the TAGB Welsh Championships at Cardiff University, which attracted more than 800 competitors.

They returned with a total of 18 medals from pattern, sparring, destruction and team sparring events, and are now preparing for the Midlands Championships in July.

Bury St Edmunds: William Russell, boys’ yellow belt, patterns 3rd; Remi Sivickis, men’s red belt, sparring 2nd, and patterns 3rd.

Thetford: Callum Palmer, cadet male red belt, sparring 1st, patterns 1st, and team sparring 1st; instructor Carl Grimes, executive men’s black belt, sparring 1st.
