Four girls from Bury Spectrum Gymnastic Club shone in the English Silver Championships to seal a host of impressive final placings.

Lucy Robinson competed in the junior section against 18 other girls from across the nation, Eleanor Heath and Maria Whiting competed in the intermediate section and Niamh Gill-Ryan in the senior section.

All four girls competed strongly on all the individual pieces of apparatus; floor, vault, bars and beam, with Robinson finishing first on beam and floor on her way to overall victory in her section.

Heath and Whiting had a tough competition against 38 other girls but Whiting managed to clinch a first place finish on the floor and third on the vault to finish fifth overall, while Heath had to settle for 28th place.

Meanwhile, Gill-Ryan performed exceptionally well to finish fourth from a field of 18.
