Saints salute a promising maiden season

Bury Saints celebrated a promising maiden competitive campaign by hosting their end-of-season player-of-the-year awards.

The main honour of the evening went to linebacker Adam Griffin who was selected by the team coaches as the Saints player of the year.

Meanwhile, the Mitch Dreibelbis lineman of the year went to offensive lineman Michael Bragge, while running back Scott Curry won the offensive player of the year award.

Fellow running back Dan Garrard collected the special teams player of the year award, while the defensive player of the year went to linebacker Jesse Carlos.

Garrard collected his second award when he was voted the offensive rookie of the year and corner back Rob Giles claimed the defensive rookie of the year honour.
