Rod average remains good at Larkwood

There has been consistent fishing at Larkwood again this week, with a rod average of 3.2 fish per angler.

The fish are enjoying the cooler, breezy weather, which has kept them up near the surface.

The most productive flies this week have been marabou damsel and black tadpole with a very slow retrieve, just under the surface.

Both West Stow and Glebe Lakes are gin clear, but note the fishery will be closed on February 1 for the East Anglia Fly Dressers Guild competition.

n Despite the windy conditions this week the fishing has been excellent again at Blackdyke Trout Fly Fishery.

Cats whiskers, yellow dancers and apps bloodworms on floating lines close to the bank are all catching well.

Tuition is available at £30 per hour — contact fishery manager Paul Speed on 07525 730447 to book a lesson.
