Quartet battle blustery conditions

A determined quartet of West Suffolk Wheelers and Triathlon Club riders took on the King’s Lynn’s CC 10 mile TT course in blustery conditions.

Paul Rooke produced another finely tuned ride to finish in 23 minutes and 40 seconds with Mark Eastwood (27:10), David Young (27:22) and John Steed (28:31) also turning in good rides.

Wheelers’ Thursday night time trial took place on the Higham 10.7mile course. Matt Shingleton paced his ride well to finish in 25:34, followed by Richard Farrow (25:48) and triathlete Pip Moore (26:16).

The rest of the field were: Peter Nichols (26:57); Darren Sharman (26:59); Matt Eaglen (27:20); Henry Wood (28:38); Dermot O’Riordan (29:24); Fraser Elsworth (U18, 29:26); David Young (29:27); Zoila Gilham-Fernandez (30:32); James Heath (guest, 29:32); Martin Gale (30:41); Mark Elson (31:40); Nicky Brinkman (guest, 31:42); Ker MacRosson (33:13); Paul Sawyer (33:24); Simon Kitching (34:47); Celia Newman (37:55).
