Needham Market youngster Max Booth has been handed a trial with Ipswich Town.

The 17-year-old, a scholar of the Needham Market academy, broke into the Marketmen’s first team earlier this season and has made seven appearances for Mark Morsley’s side.

The midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Ryman League Premier Division club during the weekend and is now set to go on trial at Portman Road.

Last season Needham defender/midfielder Keiran Morphew spent two spells on trial with the Sky Bet Championship outfit, featuring twice for Ipswich’s Under-21s in games against QPR and Nottingham Forest, but was not offered a deal.
