A team of four boys from West Suffolk Swimming Club (WSSC) dominated the Brighton Pier-to-Pier open water race.

Nineteen-year-old Danny Proffitt was the overall winner of the race, while younger brother Alex, 15, took first place in the under-17s’ category.

Myles Turner, 14, and Charlie Eshelby, 15, placed third and fourth respectively in the under-17s’ event.

The Proffitts live in Hundon, Eshelby in Haverhill and all four train at Haverhill Leisure Centre.

WSSC received a further trophy for being the first team to have four swimmers complete the event.
