Annabelle Ireland, 10, enjoyed a successful weekend at the Disability Sport England (DSE) National Junior Championships in Pond’s Forge, Sheffield.

Qualifying in her favourite stroke — breaststroke — at 50m and 100m, Ireland beat four personal bests, knocking four seconds off her 50m freestyle time, and finished fourth and fifth in her breaststroke events overall.

She is now training for the 2014 regional disability championships in May.
