Anglers had a much better time at Larkwood Trout Fishery this week — the fish in West Stow Lake are well spread all over the whole lake and not very far down.

Lures were starting to become productive, but the fish are now back on to buzzers and small nymphs.

Chris Cullen had a good visit with eight fish up to 4lb 4oz.

The fish in Glebe Lake can be found at depth and are responding to fry imitations.

Casting courses are fully booked for the next two weeks, so call to book a spot on the next available course. Christmas fishing gift vouchers are available on 07776 370348.

n Fishing has improved at Blackdyke Trout Fishery with the fish close around the reed beds thanks to the cooler weather.

Lures have been performing well at the Hockwold venue and the good old favourite cats whisker catching the most.

Darren Lee was top rod at the weekend, catching and releasing 12 fish — all along the reeds.
