DUN COW A Team’s Lee Moss has been awarded with the Winter Petanque League 2011-2012 Player of the Year award following a outstanding season.

Competing with the club throughout the winter season, Lee enjoyed a phenomenal run of form, losing just one game all season which has put the club in contention to retain their league title.

Moss played an integral role in the two previous league wins, remaining unbeaten throughout but he and the club will have to wait until all the results are to see if they have successfully defended the trophy again.

During the summer, the winter Dun Cow A team move to British Sugar C to compete in the Newmarket and District and Bury and District Petanque Leagues.

Those interested in petanque or wishing to see it played, should attend the two events being held at British Sugar Sports and Social Club. There will be an Easter Doubles match on Easter Monday and the popular East Anglian Air Ambulance Doubles on June 4, at the same venue.
