n The average weight of fish caught at Larkwood last week has risen due to a stocking of larger fish, these fully-finned rainbows are giving excellent sport.

Two methods have been successful – small marabou tails, pulled fast just under the surface or blood worm set 18 inches under an indicator.

Fish have also been taken on CDCs left static in the surface film. Several rainbows were caught around the 4-5lb-mark, with the best fish of 6lb 12oz being taken by visiting angler Trevor Taylor.
