Teenager Shane Lock retains ambitions of becoming a professional motocross rider after a second consecutive title triumph.
The 15-year-old, from the Lakenheath area, was victorious in the big wheel 85 class in the Norfolk and Suffolk Junior Championships again this season, while also impressing in the Great Britain Youth Nationals.
He finished eighth in the national competition, despite competing in just 21 of the 28 rounds and hopes to go even better in that event next year, while also contesting the GT Cup competition.
Mum Zoe said: “He really has put in the work this year and realised what it takes to do what he wants to do.
“He’s progressing well through the ranks and people definitely know who he is now in motocross circles.
“It’s his passion — he eats, drinks and sleeps motocross.”
Lock is backed by Double Quick Plumbers, Tower and Access scaffolding company, Sutton Services and Richard Thrower and James Macreavy from main sponsors Danger UK, who have already pledged to help him next year.
