Mildenhall Cycling Club will be holding a reunion on Sunday to celebrate its 60th year.
Three of the original six founding members will be there — including Donny Clarke, who has returned from Australia.
Bob Bragg, who lives in Ipswich, and Maurice Scrivener, living in Bury St Edmunds, will join him.
Sadly, Alan Thompson died in September 2012, Mike Base has a prior engagement in York, and the club has been unable to trace John Clements,
The reunion, which will take place between 12.30pm and 5pm in West Row’s village hall, will be an ideal opportunity for members past and present to get together and reminisce about club life and their cycling experiences.
Mildenhall Cycling Club chairman Mark Burchett said: “It is very interesting and gratifying to think that so many ex-members still have a special affinity with and for Mildenhall Cycling Club.
“The club’s committee feels it is important to do all they can for that to continue.”
The Mildenhall club caters for cyclists of all ages and abilities and has its own purpose-built clubroom in Wamil Way, Mildenhall.
They meet every Monday evening from 8.15pm, except Bank Holidays.
“There will also be a display of club memorabilia not seen before, which is sure to be a talking point,” he added.
Anybody ever connected with Mildenhall Cycling Club, is welcome to attend.
