Chris Walker-Hebborn came agonisingly close to adding to his FINA World Championships medal tally after finishing fourth in Sunday’s men’s 4x100m medley final.

The Bury St Edmunds swimmer was aiming to clinch a second possible gold from the championships but just missed out despite Great Britain setting a new British record.

However, the 25-year-old still enjoyed a memorable championships in Kazan,Russia, having finished fifth in the 100m backstroke final before helping Great Britain’s mixed medley team to clinch the world crown in a new world record time of 3mins 41.71secs.
