SPORTS fan Andrew Ward has got his hands on one of the hottest pairs of tickets this summer.
With tens of millions of people across the world watching at home on television, only a select few thousand will be in the Olympic Stadium watching Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake attempt to break the 100m world record.
“I count myself pretty lucky,” said Ward, son of Bury Town chairman Russell. “People still can’t believe it when I tell them what I’ve got.
“It’s a nice feeling to have something that is so sought after – it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
And Ward, who also has tickets to the football semi-finals at Wembley Stadium, has already picked who he will take with him to the Olympic Stadium on July 5 – friend Jonny Miller.
The tickets cost just £50 each, a small price to see the most talked about nine-and-a-half seconds of London 2012.
