Division One

Woolpit 184-7 lost

to Mildenhall 185-6

by 4 wickets

Woolpit faced reigning champions Mildenhall in their first game of the season.

Despite 61 from Alex Oxley, 40 from James Deeley and 35 not out from Josh Cantrell, Woolpit’s score of 184-7 seemed on the low side.

This turned out to be the case as Mildenhall reached their target with two overs and four wickets to spare.

Ben Shepperson top scored with 71.

Division Two

Stowmarket 229-3 lost

to Rougham 230-6

by 4 wickets

Rougham Cricket Club achieved their first victory for more than a year.

Stowmarket batted first with K. Haynes and D Watling putting on 99 for the first wicket.

D Watling went on to carry his bat and scored an unbeaten 101, supported by H Griffiths (21), S Lilley (28) and A Watling (13 not out).

Rougham were 56-3 when J Firth and A Scott-Ruddock came together for a partnership of 165.

J Firth was bowled for 103, and then A Scott-Ruddock for 84 but Rougham reached their target.
