Hilborough’s Luke Allen could secure the Classic Touring Car title at the final meeting held at Thruxton this weekend.

Allen, in his first season with the car, is currently second in the championship standings. He had an eventful weekend on his local track at Snetterton, where he went into Saturday’s race first in class.

Allen controlled the pace to win by a clear 11 seconds, also setting the fastest lap.

In Sunday’s race, he again started from pole - this time with extra ballast - and crossed the line in fourth.
