Lewis Moody hunting for World Cup 2015 mascots
Land Rover is searching for youngsters to become official mascots for Rugby World Cup 2015 with the help of rugby legend and former England captain Lewis Moody,
Entrants (aged between seven and 13 years old) have to participate in a short audition, undertaking one of three challenges to show why they would make a great mascot.
These challenges include giving a passionate rendition of a Rugby World Cup team’s national anthem, offering some words of inspiration and advice to one of the nations’ captains or telling Land Rover how they would welcome a visiting Rugby World Cup nation to England for the Tournament.
They will be judged by Rugby World Cup 2003 winners Moody and Jason Robinson.
One audition will take place, pre-match at the Premiership Rugby Final, Twickenham on May 30 held outside the stadium in the South Car Park.
n The rugby World Cup will be visiting the Eastern Counties as part of its nationwide tour prior to the competition starting on September 18.
On August 11 the Webb Ellis Cup will be visiting Lowestoft and Yarmouth Rugby Club before travelling to Ipswich to the statue of Prince Alexander Obolensky, who played for England in the 1930s.
In the evening it will be parachuted in to Colchester Rugby Club by the Red Devils .
On August 12 it will be in Cambridge, taking a trip by punt on the River Cam and a bicycle ride through the city, before going on display at Parkers Piece.
