Kerr is twice a runner-up

West Suffolk Golf Centre’s Ben Kerr was second in the professional medal at Thetford Golf Club’s latest Winter ProAm last week.

Bogies on the ninth and 10th cost Kerr as he missed out by a shot to Brampton Park’s George Howard.

Kerr was second in the ProAm with partner Matt Hartley (Newmarket), missing out on countback to Howard and Ed Dimambro.

Steve Plumb (Saffron Walden) and Tim Smith (Bishop’s Stortford) won the AmAm event.

n The winners of the final round of Bury St Edmunds Golf Club’s Winter Goblet were Julian Cooksley and Steve King with an incredible 44 points, four points clear of Andy Ball and Chris Whyatt on 40 points.
