Hugo Grayling hit a hat-trick as Thurston Under-16s defeated Stowmarket 9-0 in the quarter-finals of the Vase in our match of the week.

Ben Seeley and Ben Frost bagged a brace apiece, while an own goal and Rob Wallis completed the rout.

Adam Carter was named man of the match, while Oli Robo pulled off a cracking save to preserve his clean sheet.

Thetford Bulldogs Under-18s could not convert a two-goal lead into victory, but were left happy with a share of the spoils against Stowupland Falcons.

Nathan Fuller and Tomask Rutoski got Thetford’s goals.

Brandon Town Lasses Under-15s secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Suffolk Girls’ and Women’s Football League Cup as Darcey Root (two), Chloe Webb and Georgia Reardon netted in their 4-1 win over Cornard Dynamos.

Olivia Baker (four), Eva Bell (three) and Melissa Boulton got the goals as Thetford Bulldog Belles Under-14s saw off Thorpe Rovers 8-0.

New signing Jess Daniels made an impressive debut, while Fraya Williams, Lauren Stannard and player-of-the-match Jess Horn also impressed.

Walsham-le-Willows Under-13s regained top spot in Eastern Junior Alliance with a 2-1 victory over Felixstowe and Walton United.

Charlie Iglesias won a penalty that captain Lewis O’Malley converted and Harvey Hubbard got the other.

Fraser Guthrie was named man of the match in Brandon Town Under-7s’ match with Thetford Independent.
