Great Scott for Howards in knockout cup victory

The divisional knockout cups took centre stage this week in the Plastic Trade Frames Bury Sunday League.

In Group A there were lots of goals.

Howards visited Buxhall and won 6-1 with goals coming from Scott Hayes (2), Adrian Stephenson, Harry Whiting-Noakes (2) and Cain Robinson.

Cockfield hosted Bury Bowl, who scored through Ash Macdonald with a hat-trick, Ryan Mclees (2) and Luke Hayden in a 6-1 success.

In Group B, Tostock and LABAS shared four goals, Tom Goddard scoring both of Tostock’s goals, in a 2-2 draw.

In Division Three, Gt Barton lost 3-1 to Occold and Liberty drew 3-3 at Horringer with Liberty’s goals coming from Ben Lawson and Patric Naranjo and an OG.

Brandon beat FC Gulls by the odd goal in five, a score which was repeated by Cheveley at Shaktar with Ed Richardson and Webber Forbes scoring for the hosts.
