Grassroots festival proves a success

Crowds flocked to this year’s KBB Suffolk FA Grassroots Festival.

The two-day festival, at Gainsborough Sports Centre, Ipswich, saw 140 teams take part on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival had a Premier League theme as it coincided with the end of the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season.

Suffolk FA football development manager Nathan French, who organised the festival, said: “Our fifth Grassroots Festival has been a huge success. It has been another fantastic festival.

“I would just like to thank all the teams, both boys’ and girls’, coaches, referees, parents and the Suffolk FA staff for making the event such a success.

“The reason we run our Grassroots Festival is to create a positive match-day environment and give everyone the best football experience possible.”
