Hosted by Saint Edmund Pacers, there was a good turnout from West Suffolk Wheelers and Triathlon Club at Sunday’s Tarpley 10/20 mile road race, starting from Beyton School.

Top run of the day came from Sharon Calton, in her debut over this distance, and the first time she has run more than 13 miles.

Her time (with official results not yet available) of 2.45.32 in the 20-mile distance was enough for second in her age category.

Another personal best came from time triallist Sarah Wells, who finished in 2.55.10.

In the 10-mile race, there were good runs from a trio of triathletes: Tom Betts (1.09.29); Hannah McInrory (1.09.54) and Julian Colman (1.20.20).
