Bury Town’s woeful luck continued as they fell victim to a 90th-minute winner at home to play-off chasing Maidstone United.

But the Blues, watched by a big crowd of 540, were under siege in the second half and Maidstone should have regained the lead before a long throw-in caused panic in the Bury box as the game got set to enter stoppage time and Zac Attwood had ghosted into space to fire in at the far post.

In the Barclays Premier League Norwich City sacked manager Chris Hughton following boos greeting their 1-0 home defeat to relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion.
The defeat left the Canaries five points and one place above Fulham in the last relegation spot with five games to go, and City facing the west London side next.
In the SkyBet Championship Jordan Rhodes continued to haunt his former club as the Blackburn marksman scored in a 2-0 win at Ewood Park that left Mick McCarthy’s side five points off the play-offs ahead of travelling to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
